Being still a small child, he was part of the “Batallón de exploradores” (Explorers battalion), directed by the Salesiano priest Ernesto Pérez Acosta (Pa’i Pérez), accomplishing his first musical studies in the Band of Musicians of this group.
In 1958 was appointed representative in the Salesian Congress Turin, Italy.
