The ancient and as yet superficially explored city of Eumenia is located on the shore of Lake Işıklı near Çivril and the locality is arranged into a recreational area.
Eucarpia (Eukarpia), mentioned by Strabo (XII, 576) and several other geographers, was situated on a road from Dorylaeum to Eumenia, between the Dorylaeum-Acmonia and Dorylaeum-Synnada roads, probably at the modern Emin Hissar, in the vilayet of Brusa.
After a Requiem Mass in the private oratory, the burial service was conducted by the Right Rev. Dr. W. J. Miller, Roman Catholic Bishop of Eumenia.
The classical lines of the porch exactly follow those of a Roman medal of the Temple of Tyche in Eumenia, Asia Minor, only engraved once.
