3 unusual facts about European route E75

Dragan Jočić

On Friday, January 25, 2008 around 11:30pm CET, Jočić was severely injured in a car crash when a government-issued, chauffer-driven Mercedes-Benz ML 500 that he was riding in hit a dog on the Belgrade-Niš highway near the town of Velika Plana.

Kysuca

In the valley of Kysuca south of Čadca, a railway and an international road (currently E75, in the future D3) passes through it.

Rosoman

These are strategically positioned so as to attract custom from outside the village, as Rosoman is one of the only villages on the route between Gradsko - to the north (from where motorists join the motorway for Greece or Skopje) - and the Pletvar mountains, which separate central Macedonia from the important cities of Prilep and Bitola.

Gazela Bridge

It is a part of the city highway and it lies on European route E75, on the highway passing through the wider city center, connecting Belgrade with Niš to the south, and Novi Sad to the north.

Krośniewice

The European routes E30 and E75 used to intersect in the town until a bypass was built around the town in 2010.

Pyhäjärvi

As the highway 4 (E75), the highway 27 and the YlivieskaIisalmi railway all run through the town, Pyhäjärvi is well situated in an intersection of communication and transport services.

Silesian Voivodeship

It is also the crossing point for many international routes like E40 connecting Calais, Brussels, Cologne, Dresden, Wrocław, Kraków and Kiev and E75 from Scandinavia to the Balkans.

Tošin Bunar

It begins at Bežanijska Kosa and also passes between the neighborhoods of Studentski Grad (where it crosses the European route E75 with large interchange), Kalvarija and Paviljoni, while in the end, through the short Ivićeva and Bežanijska streets, it enters the center of Zemun.
