In orchestral music, Carydis is noted for his reading of Falla's complete Three-Cornered Hat ballet and for Rimsky-Korsakov's coloristic Scheherazade.
His chosen style was what some regard as "typically American" i.e. based on American folk music, though Moore never actually used any authentic folk tunes but rather created his own (much like Gustav Holst or Falla).
He nonetheless continued to make recordings, such as Ernesto Hallfter's Sinfonietta, De Falla's Nights in the Gardens of Spain with Gonzalo Soriano, work with the OSR, and later in London, the stereo orchestral LP Espana, as well as the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with Alfredo Campoli and Liszt concertos with Julius Katchen.
In 1997, the Archivo Manuel de Falla and the University of Granada marked the centenary of her birth with an exhibition and a series of concerts in her honour.
It was music Falla had spent years studying, having grown up with it, hearing it directly from Gitano friends, cantaores and tocaores.
His performing and recording activities include work with chamber ensembles of diverse stylistic orientations: the De Falla Guitar Trio; a harpsichord and guitar duo with Elaine Comparone; and jazz collaborations with Anthony Cox, Charlie Haden, Milcho Leviev, James Newton, Arto Tuncbayaci, and others.

Villalonga's compositions have received high appraisal from Felipe Pedrell—comparing them to those of Victoria and Palestrina—Georges Jean-Aubry, and Manuel de Falla.
They include autograph scores, printed works, and correspondence (e.g. with Falla), as well as signed copies of works by Holst, Vaughan Williams, Grainger and John Stainer.
