Revenant Wings was scored by Final Fantasy XII composer Hitoshi Sakimoto, joined by Kenichiro Fukui, who had arranged the English version of "Kiss Me Good-Bye".

Akihiko Yoshida designed the characters for the game; he subsequently did the same for several of the other games set in Ivalice, Final Fantasy XII and Vagrant Story.
(Modern game consoles solve this problem by pre-filtering the 480i video to a lower resolution. For example, Final Fantasy XII suffers from flicker when the filter is turned off, but stabilizes once filtering is restored. The computers of the 1980s lacked sufficient power to run similar filtering software.)
He is best known for his roles as Kohei Kitahanada in Fuji TV's Hanazakari no Kimitachi e/Ikemen Paradise drama, Otoya Kurenai in TV Asahi's tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Kiva, and the voice of Vaan in Final Fantasy XII.
More recently he has provided the voice of Judge Ghis in the English version of Final Fantasy XII.
A more commonly used tactic in later RPGs (used in Final Fantasy XII, Radiata Stories, Fallout 1 and 2, Legend of Legaia and all Kingdom Hearts games) is to set a finite number of enemies in a given area.
