Benante joined Anthrax in 1983, prior to the recording of the band's debut album Fistful of Metal, and has been the band's drummer to the present day.
Bello was originally a roadie and guitar technician for Anthrax, but later he replaced Dan Lilker soon after the release of Fistful of Metal, and has held this position since 1984.
