This engine was developed in Trémery by Peugeot, as described in the joint-venture agreement with Ford.

It is called AJD-V6 by Jaguar and DT17 by PSA Peugeot Citroën.

The inline-four engines are sold under the Duratorq TDCi name by Ford, and as the HDi by Citroën and Peugeot.
