Francisco Vidal y Barraquer (1868–1943), Spanish Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Tarragona from 1919
Vidal was one of the cardinal electors in the 1922 papal conclave, which selected Pope Pius XI, and later rejected Pope Pius's offer of the primatial see of Toledo.
Cardinal Francisco Vidal y Barraquer appealed for intervention and on 10 November 1937 wrote to Cardinal Pacelli declaring Carrasco " a practising Catholic" who "always defended the rights of the Church."
