Alan Lorimer Dowding (born 4 April 1929) is a former Australian first-class cricketer who played with Oxford University, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the Commonwealth XI and Free Foresters.
In 1932 and 1933 he played eight times for Oxford University, taking two wickets: those of Yorkshire's Arthur Mitchell and Free Foresters' Noel Evans.
The final recorded match on the ground came in July 1968 when the Free Foresters played the United States, although the ground is still in use today.
