Fujishima stable (2010), a heya formerly known as Musashigawa stable, now run by ex-Musōyama Masashi
In 1993 his stable merged with Fujishima stable and he became a stablemate of ozeki (later yokozuna) Takanohana Koji, whom he had fought eight times previously without beating.
He entered sumo in March 1988, at the same time as his younger brother Takanohana, and joined his father's training stable, then known as Fujishima stable.
