During the 31st Session of the Unesco World Heritage Committee in Christchurch, New Zealand from the 23rd of June to the second of July 2007, The World Heritage Committee decided to place Gamzigrad-Romuliana, Palace of Galerius on the World Heritage List.
Movie scenes of The Meeting Point filmed in Gamzigrad, and several actors of them actually went to Tunisia where they filmed scenes from the desert and the ruins of a Roman city Dougga.
It flows near the village of Krivi Vir and continues generally to the north-east, flowing through the Crnorečka kotlina (Cyrillic: Црноречка котлина; "depression of Crna Reka"), populated with many smaller villages (Lukovo, Jablanica, Valakonje, Savinac, Gamzigrad, Zvezdan).
