Château de La Petite-Pierre

Hugo I of Blieskastel (d.a. 1220), Count of Lützelstein or Lunéville (or both), second son of Folmar I (d.a. 1179), Count of Blieskastel with Clementia of Metz.

The counts have used the title Graf von Lützelstein, alter also Comte de Petite-Pierre, meaning basically the same, also Comte de Lunéville (in Lorraine), which might be due to a confusion of transferral of power at some point.

Louis Philip (German: Ludwig Philipp) (24 November 1577 – 24 October 1601) was the co-Duke of Veldenz from 1592 until 1598 and the Duke of Guttenberg from 1598 until 1601.

In 1598 the brothers partitioned the territories; Louis Pihlip received half of the territory of Guttenberg.

Palatinate-Lützelstein

Lützelstein Castle, erected by the Counts of Blieskastel at a mountain pass to Lorraine, and the surrounding territory originally were a fief of the Bishopric of Strasbourg.

His son Count Palatine George John I of Veldenz founded the town of Phalsbourg (Pfalzburg), which he nevertheless was forced to pledge to Duke Charles III of Lorraine shortly afterwards.
