George Shiras III (1859–1942), U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania and son of George Shiras, Jr.
Shiras was elected as an Independent Republican to the Fifty-eighth Congress.
While not working with the National Geographic, Henshaw lobbied, along with George Shiras, to pass the Weeks-McLean Act, otherwise known as the Migratory Bird Law.
