Gepard-class fast attack craft

In 2012, Germany delivered two of its decommissioned Gepard class FACs, S74 Nerz and S77 Dachs to the Ghana Navy.

The first unit of the class, Yastreb (Hawk), was laid down at the Zelenodol'sk Zavod shipyard at Tatarstan in 1991.

The class is named after its lead ship, which in turn is named after Lt Nikolaos Roussen, a World War II submarines officer who was killed in the suppression of the Navy mutiny in April 1944.
