Gerardo Flores (born 1986) of Lufkin, Texas, was convicted in 2005 of two counts of capital murder for giving his girlfriend, who was carrying twins, an at-home abortion the previous year.

Gerardo Flores wrote seven out of eleven tracks included on the project, including an adaptation of the "Il Postino" score, written by Luis Bacalov, by Lucero's request, since her mother was a big fan of the movie.
The album includes some covers of Italian songs, and some famous songwriters provides his themes like Pablo Milanés, Lolita de la Colina, Renato Mares, Luis Gomez Escolar and Gerardo Flores.
