The Spike Drivers

The band traveled to New York City and landed a recording contract with Warner Brothers Reprise Records where they put out two 45's featuring "Strange Mysterious Sounds" with "Break Out The Wine" and "Often I Wonder" with "High Time."


Bassknives

The 3 piece soon signed to 3CRs previous record label Mighty Atom Records and recorded the Come On You Motherfuckers EP in Swansea, Wales with record producer Joe Gibb (Funeral for a Friend/ Million Dead) at the beginning of 2006, it was eventually released at the end of the year.

Bluebell Records

As for the 45 rpm catalog, two singles by The New Dada were published with the same catalog number (BB 03151) due to the label's decision to "promote" the single's B-side to the A-side of a new single, with a new B-side and different artwork, but the same catalog number.

Bruce Pavitt

1986 saw the release of Sub Pop's (the "-terranean" was dropped earlier from the name) first LP: the Sub Pop 100.

Buddy Johnson

Evelyn Evelyn

In 2007, the band released a 3-song, colored 7" vinyl record, along with a 6-track CD titled Elephant Elephant, which was released in a limited edition of 1,111 copies on Jason's label (11 records); it quickly sold out.

Excelsior Records

Otis René and his brother Leon René purchased their own record plant, but when the format changed from 78 rpm to 45rpm, they could not press the new speed, and the label went out of business.

Floyd Soileau

After graduating from Ville Platte High in 1956, he opened a small record store, Floyd's Record Shop and discovered that although people were still interested in them, Cajun French records were no longer being produced.

Hand Springs

"Hand Springs/Cedar Point '76" is a split 7" single released in 2000 by Detroit garage rock bands The White Stripes and The Dirtbombs. The White Stripes song "Hand Springs" is on the A-side and "Cedar Point '76" by The Dirtbombs is on the B-side.

Happy Man

The single was released on green vinyl in Ireland on the CBS label, with the recorded version produced by Nicky Graham, who would go on to find greater success as producer to The Nolans and Bros among others.

Harlequin Dream

A collector's edition of the album featuring vinyl and CD copies of the album as well as a lyric booklet, artwork print and "one-of-a-kind Polaroid photo of the band" was also released alongside the standard edition.

Hello It's Me

Our Label Records

Our Label Records was founded in March 2005 by DJ Gu from Bremen, Germany and his brother Andreas Gutjahr, London, England to produce and publish funk mainly on 7" vinyl.

Pour un instant

Written by band members Serge Fiori and Michel Normandeau, it was released on vinyl as a single in April of that year, along with the B-side "100,000 raisons" (meaning "100,000 Reasons").

Rudimentary Peni

In 1937 Smokey and Black Ace were brought to Chicago, Illinois by Decca Records to record, and Smokey had his first gramophone record ("Family Trouble Blues"/"Kind Hearted Blues") released, as by Andrew Hogg.

This Wreckage

It was featured as the opening track on his 1980 LP Telekon and was the third and final single to be released from that album (although the only one to feature on every configuration of Telekon worldwide).

Truant Wave

"Spotlight (New Regrets)" 7" vinyl was the first release by his record label, Breakdance Media record. It was yellow and limited to a 500 pressings, with "Spotlight (New Regrets)" and "Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia)" as a Double A-side. It was available through his online store. "Spotlight (Oh Nostalgia)" was used in The Vampire Diaries in the episode "The Last Dance".

True Steppers

Their biggest selling record came in August 2000, when True Steppers collaborated with Dane Bowers and Victoria Beckham on "Out of Your Mind".

Twig Tape

The first ever double-disc Twig Tape was released in 2002, containing a "Student LP" on the first CD and an "Alumni EP" on the second CD.

Up in the Clouds

It was released as a digital download on 11 July 2010 with a vinyl release the following day and also features on the self-titled debut album: Darwin Deez.

Why Not Nothing? / Sweet Brother Malcolm

The two songs were released December 4, 2006 as a limited edition double A-sided 7-inch single from that album (see 2006 in British music).
