In June 1970 in the Netherlands a group called Kabouters won 5 of the 45 seats on the Amsterdam Gemeenteraad (City Council), as well as two seats each on councils in The Hague and Leeuwarden and one seat apiece in Arnhem, Alkmaar and Leiden.

Staley High School

It is the first Green school in Missouri; however, other schools are in the process of being built and/or planned.

Tears in the Fence

English Poet and writer, David Caddy and Harry Seccombe founded Tears in the Fence in November 1984, as a literary magazine for the Green Movement.


Östermalmstorg metro station

Social Democratic Alliance

The initial attempt failed however as a group of Alþingi representatives rejected the new party's platform – which was inspired by that of Tony Blair's New Labour – and broke away before the merger to found the Left-Green Movement (Vinstrihreyfingin – grænt framboð), based on more traditional democratic socialist values as well as green politics and euroscepticism.
