Ferrari 512

Until 1967, Ferrari raced four litre prototypes (see Ferrari P), but due to high speeds achieved in Le Mans also by the seven litre V8 Ford GT40, the rules were changed for 1968 limiting Group 6 Prototypes to a maximum engine capacity of 3.0 litres, as in Formula 1.

Lancia LC1

The Lancia LC1 was a sports car run by Lancia under the Group 6 regulations in the World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1982 to 1983.

Porsche 956

Built to comply with the championship's new Group C regulations which were introduced in 1982, the car was a replacement for Porsche's successful 936 model which competed in the previous Group 6 category of the World Championship.

Thundersports

Thundersports was essentially a sports-car version of Formula Libre with cars from Sports 2000, Group 5, Group 6, Can-Am, Group C and various other prototype categories all eligible; a number of hybrid cars appeared in the series.


1987 in Denmark

14 October — Denmark qualifies for UEFA Euro 1988 in West Germany by defeating Wales in their last game in Group 6 of the UEFA Euro 1988 qualifying and thusreby winning the group one point ahead of Czechoslovakia.

Mate Bilić

He eventually made his full international debut on 14 October 2009, in the nation's final 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan in Astana, coming on as a substitute for Mario Mandžukić in the 63rd minute; Croatia won the game 2–1, but failed to reach the play-offs after finishing third in their group.
