Circus Devils

Circus Devils was originally conceived in 2001 as a side project to Robert Pollard's main work with Guided by Voices.

Circus Devils is an American experimental rock band founded in 2001 by Robert Pollard, best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the Dayton, Ohio, band Guided by Voices.


Aaron Blitzstein

Prior to writing, he was part of the team of personal managers working with artists including Sonic Youth, Guided by Voices, Beastie Boys, Dinosaur Jr, The Breeders and Foo Fighters.

Chris Barth

The Impossible Shapes also shared the stage with Wilco, Guided by Voices, Elf Power, David Berman, U.S. Maple, and Interpol, among others, while garnering acclaim in publications such as Spin, Magnet, and Skyscraper.

Matter-Eater Lad

American indie rock band Guided By Voices recorded a song based on the character called "Matter-Eater Lad" for their 1994 EP Clown Prince of the Menthol Trailer.

Richard Karn

In 2002, Karn also made an appearance in The Strokes' music video for "Someday", which featured segments of the band on a fictional showing of Family Feud against the band Guided by Voices.
