Velvet Monkeys

In 1994 Malcolm Riviera joined Gumball on second guitar and keyboards, making the line-up little different from the Velvet Monkeys c.

After that one-off effort, Spiegel and Fleming briefly joined Dinosaur Jr., then created a new band, Gumball, in 1992 with former Stump Wizards' bass player Eric Vermillion.


Fionna and Cake

Neil Patrick Harris was Sugar's first choice to play Prince Gumball; she explained that she wanted to impress her brother Steve, who was "obsessed" with the Music Meister (portrayed by Harris) from Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Darwin Watterson (voiced by Kwesi Boakye, season 1-2; Terrell Ransom, Jr., season 3 onward) – Darwin, a goldfish, is Gumball's best friend and adoptive brother.
