2019 World Aquatics Championships

The 2019 World Aquatics Championships — 18th FINA World Aquatics Championships will be held in Gwangju, South Korea in summer 2019.The city will host the 2015 Summer Universiade aquatics events in the same venues.

Andrew Choi Chang-mu

On February 9, 1999, he was appointed Coadjutor Archbishop of Gwangju and succeeded Archbishop Victorinus Youn Kong-hi upon the latter's retirement on November 11, 2000.

Bitgoeul-daero

It opened on December 29, 2004 and the name was Sendai-ro Road(Hangul : 센다이로, Hanja or Japanese : 仙臺路), to celebrate forming a sister city between Gwangju, Korea and Sendai, Japan.

Byun Hee-bong

Byun In-chul was born in Jangseong County, South Jeolla Province, and attended Salesian High School in Gwangju.

Iksan
