On September 5, 1998, an H5 meteorite weighing approximately 7 kilograms fell in Daşoguz.
The meteorite was an ordinary chondrite H5 and it is currently stored at the Natural History Museum in London.
This meteorite was a H5-class object, specimens were collected anwere housed in the Western Australian Museum.
