HMS Trincomalee, a Royal Navy frigate and Britain's oldest warship afloat is at the centre of the quay.
HMS Trincomalee was renamed Foudroyant in 1897 whilst serving as a replacement for the wrecked schoolship.
The mountain served as the target for the cannons of HMS Trincomalee of the Royal Navy's Pacific Squadron when it signalled its arrival in Cowichan Bay.
