HOPE is funded entirely by revenue from the Georgia Lottery and is administered by the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC).
Van Deven was able to attend Georgia State University with the financial assistance of the HOPE Scholarship while also working full-time at an indie record store in Little Five Points and the university’s Women’s Studies Institute.
Evans proposed dropping down the GPA requirements for a HOPE Scholarship for the Technical College System of Georgia back to their original level, after raised standards caused a precipitous drop in technical school attendance.
