Cedric the Entertainer entered into a partnership with HVM Racing in October 2005.
With a series of impressive tests he was signed to drive in the Champ Car World Series for CTE Racing-HVM, owned jointly by Cedric the Entertainer and Keith Wiggins, in 2006 as a teammate to the even younger Nelson Philippe.
By that point the team had been renamed HVM (Herdez Viva Mexico) and in October 2005 Cedric the Entertainer announced he had become a partner in the team.
HVM offered performance similar to existing systems like the AGM-114 Hellfire, but offered a semi-fire-and-forget operation through the use of FLIR tracking and guidance commands sent to it via a low-power laser.
Baker Barracks on Thorney Island is currently home to 47th Regiment Royal Artillery, armed with the Starstreak HVM.
