Hans Swarowsky

His many conducting students included Leonid Nikolaev, Paul Angerer, Claudio Abbado, Iván Fischer, Jesús López-Cobos, Zubin Mehta, Gustav Meier, Miltiades Caridis, Alexander Alexeev, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Brian Jackson, Alfred Prinz, Bryan Fairfax and Albert Rosen.

ST-X Ensemble

It was formed in New York City in 1994 by the conductor Charles Zachary Bornstein, who had served as an assistant conductor to Leopold Stokowski, and was the last private student of the Austrian conductor Hans Swarowsky.


Alex Prior

At 13, he entered the Saint Petersburg Conservatory where, beginning in his third year, he studied composition with Boris Tishchenko and opera and symphonic conducting with Alexander Alexeev (a pupil of Hans Swarowsky).
