Elisabeth Rotten

1930 bis 1934 wirkte sie in der Gartenstadt Hellerau, u.a. als Mitbegründerin der Staatlichen Wohlfahrtsschule Hellerau, in dieser Zeit gründete sie auch zusammen mit Jean Piaget die Schweizerische Montessori-Gesellschaft und war von 1937 bis zu ihrem Tode im Jahre 1964 Vizepräsidentin der Association Montessori Internationale.

In 1930, Rotten co-founded a school at Hellerau just outside Dresden, where a garden city was established shortly after 1900 as part of a reform movement advocating modern housing.

Karl Schmidt-Hellerau

Karl Camillo Schmidt-Hellerau (1 February 1873 in Zschopau - 6 November 1948 in Hellerau) was a German carpenter, furniture manufacturer and social reformer.

Kurt Schlosser

Between 1919 and 1923, Schlosser worked as a polisher, stainer and assembler in the " Hellerau German Workshops" ("Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau"), and was also a member of the works council there.
