Murray-Anderdon remained as unpaid honorary secretary into the early years of the 20th century, working for most of that period alongside Woods, who was described as "captain and secretary", a frequent fiction in amateur times that enabled Woods to be paid (for the secretarial duties) while retaining amateur status as a player; Murray-Anderdon was also a member of various MCC committees.

A copy by him of Teniers's Le Bonnet Rouge was "of the most striking perfection of finish and tone, capable of deceiving any one could it have but age" (manuscript notes in Anderdon, Collectanea Biographica, print room, British Museum).
He was involved the Harvard Psychological Clinic, led by Henry Murray, and the Department of Social Relations, where he worked with colleagues such as Erik Erikson, Robert W. White, Talcott Parsons, Gordon Allport, and Alex Inkeles.
