Roselius, a sympathiser of National Socialism pursued Völkisch-Nordic cultural ideas influenced by the ideologists Julius Langbehn and Herman Wirth, involving a belief in the irreplaceable value of the Nordic race.
Along with Wirth's disciple and SPD member Roland Häke, in 1979 Willy Brandt and the Rhineland-Palatinate government supported a project to set up a museum with to show Wirth's ethnographic collection in the tithe barn of Lichtenberg Castle.

Günther, the writer Ernst Graf zu Reventlow, the historian Herman Wirth, Ludwig Fahrenkrog and Lothar Stengel-von Rutkowski.
