Later on, as Bozo chases the cat (and drags Buddy along), they pass a billboard that advertises "Frisby", a reference to Friz Freleng; a similar reference to Freleng occurs in High Diving Hare.
That name was inspired by a Bugs Bunny cartoon, High Diving Hare, in which Yosemite Sam attempts to coerce Bugs Bunny into performing a high-diving act when the show's star, Fearless Freep, is unavailable.
4: Having been verbally hit with "fightin' words", Bugs dares Sam to "step over this line" (in a gag similar to one from Bugs Bunny Rides Again), sending Sam down for the splash again (but not before springing back up briefly to declare: "I hate you!")
