The festival introduced Maria Callas in the Netherlands, and was also the first to successfully set up a large symphonic tribute to Frank Zappa with "200 motels-the suite" in 2000 (after failed attempts to have Zappa perform himself in the festival in 1981).

Outreach initiatives to new audiences include successful non-western concerts such as an Umm Kalsoum tribute by Egyptian star Amal Maher in 2010.

Notable world premieres included the definitive version of Benjamin Britten's War Requiem and Karlheinz Stockhausen's Helikopter-Streichquartett.
As well as Paris, she sang frequently in the French provincial houses, as well as at the Festivals of Aix-en-Provence, Edinburgh, Glyndebourne and Holland, and in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos-Aires, Lisbon and London.

He has collaborated with artists to present new works with computer electronics in various festivals throughout Europe including Ars Musica (Brussels), Holland Festival (Amsterdam), Musica (Strasbourg), Agora (Paris), Gaida (Vilnius), MaerzMusik (Berlin), Lille 2004 as well as the Casa da Musica (Porto) et Lille 2004 and Queen Elizabeth Hall (London).
In Europe, he conducted the premiere of an opera for La Scala Opera (Milan, Italy), and concerts at the prestigious Maggio Musicale (Florence, Italy), the Tonhalle (Zurich, Switzerland), and at the Holland Festival in the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), as well as the 750th Anniversary of the City of Berlin.
Her works have been performed at festivals such as Holland Festival, Gaudeamus Music Week, Music Biennale Zagreb, Archipel Festival (Swiss), Time of Music (Finland), Festival Aspekte (Austria), A-devantgarde (Germany), Manca (France), International Review of Composers (Serbia) among others.
"Paradise" was also presented at the Venice Biennale and the Auckland Festival in 2003 and the Holland Festival and Theater der Welt in 2005.
