The manuscript of the journal was obtained by Harry From, who arranged for their publication in 1996, by the Romanian publishing house Humanitas.
Attie was a writer and co-executive producer on House for the last five of its eight seasons, and was nominated for a Humanitas award for the series finale, "Everybody Dies," which he co-wrote with series creator David Shore.
In 2003, the Romanian publishing house Humanitas has published four such jarbooks, out of which one is an anthology of international poetry entitled Eternul femenin (The Eternal Feminine), and the three others are selections of poems by Leonid Dimov, Emil Brumaru and Șerban Foarță.
In 2013 Midori was invited to the University of Oxford as Humanitas Visiting Professor in Classical Music and Music Education.
For episodes of Law & Order and its sequels he received an Edgar Award nomination from the Mystery Writers of America, four Emmy nominations and a Humanitas Award nomination as a producer, The Shine Award, The Silver Gavel Award, and the GLAAD Media Award.
