"I Love Livin' in the City" is also featured on two video game soundtracks, The Warriors and Tony Hawk's Underground 2.

At a May 2, 2012 Red Hot Chili Peppers show, bassist Flea (who had played in Fear) teased the song as an intro to the Chili Peppers' song, "Look Around".

The song was covered by Rotting Out (on their This Is Just a Life demo), The Meatmen (both live and on record), and Method of Destruction (as "The City" on 1989 album Gross Misconduct).
