All Children's Hospital

The University of South Florida's Dean of Medicine Andor Szentivanyi recruited Robert A. Good and increased USF's presence at All Children's to mollify opposition to a Tampa Children's Hospital.

All Children's Hospital became synonymous with academic pediatrics when Robert A. Good became Physician and Chief.

Earl-Jean

In 1964, Earl-Jean left the Cookies and signed for Colpix, recording the Goffin and King song "I'm Into Somethin' Good", which reached Number 38 in the United States on the Billboard Hot 100.

Good–Turing frequency estimation

Good–Turing frequency estimation was developed by Alan Turing and his assistant I. J. Good as part of their efforts at Bletchley Park to crack German ciphers for the Enigma machine during World War II.

In 1982 he moved to the Cancer Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City, where he remained until 1985, when he became Physician-in-Chief at the All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Chairman of Pediatrics at The University of South Florida Medical School.
