That same year Alessandrini started working for Catholic weekly Il Giornalino, where he drew some episodes of the series Ai confini dell'avventura and Storie di tutti i tempi.
In the late 1950s he started to collaborated with the Edizioni Paoline, a Catholic publisher, and with their weekly magazine Il Giornalino.
In 1969 he started a collaboration with the children magazine Il Giornalino, for which Landolfi, in addition to having made several comic adaptations from literary such as Gulliver's Travels and Father Brown, co-created with writer Claudio Nizzi the popular "Piccolo Dente", leading character of a long lasting eponym comic strip.
Toppi's works appeared on a host of titles in Italy and abroad: an incomplete list could include Linus, Corto Maltese, Sgt. Kirk and Il Giornalino in Italy.
From 1972 he also he collaborates with Il Giornalino, for which he produced Il Campione (a series set in the boxing world, written by Alberto Ongaro) and the police series Tenente Marlo, with stories by Claudio Nizzi.
Born in Senigallia, Ancona, Peroni started his career in 1948 collaborating with the children magazine Il Giornalino, then he worked for a number of Italian and European magazines and newspapers, such as Corriere dei Piccoli, Guerin Sportivo, Bild-Zeitung.
He contributed to the most important Italian magazines of the period, including L’illustrazione italiana, Avanti della Domenica and Il Giornalino della Domenica, and finally established himself as the illustrator of Grazia Deledda, with whom he shared a determination to assert the specific values of Sardinian culture in post-unification Italy.
In the 1980s his works included Speedy Car for Il Giornalino, and Pam/Peter, a one-shot written by Luigi Mignacco and published on the magazine Comic Art.
