Indian Airlines Flight 814 commonly known as IC 814 was an Indian Airlines Airbus A300 en route from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India on Friday, 24 December 1999, when it was hijacked.
The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), in Delhi at the distance of 42.2 km, while the jahangir puri station of Delhi Metro rail is the nearest station, though Narela sub city is part of the Delhi Metro's Master Plan Phase IV, currently underway.
It moved to India in September the same year, where it was disbanded on 1 September 1946 at Palam Airport by being re-numbered to No. 62 Squadron.
