On July 7, 2009 Infineon Technologies announced it agreed to sell its wire-based communications division to Golden Gate Capital.
It hosts the headquarters of Infineon Technologies (Campeon) located in the west of Unterbiberg as well as the headquarters of Intel Mobile Communications GmbH and Lantiq, a fabless semiconductor business.
