The first station on the M1 Line after its split from the M2 Line at Christianshavn, it is located in zone 1 in the northwestern section of the island of Amager.
A Rambla connects it, in opposite directions, to Islands Brygge Metro Station and a new park, Grønningen, separating the campus area from the housing estates Boligslangen and Karen Blixens Have to the south.
•
Islands Brygge Station is located next to the campus, on the corner of Njalsgade and Ørestad Boulevard, serving the M1 line of the Copenhagen Metro.
Vestamager is the last of six stations within the Ørestad redevelopment area on the M1 Line beginning at Islands Brygge and, as a result, has witnessed significant transit-oriented development.
