Albertoni was elected a deputy to the legislature of the kingdom for three terms of office (1892-1895, 1897-1900 and 1900-1904) representing Bozzolo for the Italian Radical Party.

Internationally Liberal Reformers, alongside with the Italian Radicals, were members of the Transnational Radical Party, a NGO working at the United Nations level.
When the Radical Party was transformed into Transnational Radical Party, a NGO working at the UN level and coordinating the efforts of several national parties and groupings mainly in support of human rights, in 1989, the Italian Radicals were free to join the party of their choice.
