Craig Lett, his partner, is the son of the Major League pitcher Jim Lett of the Cincinnati Reds.
Lett is a 1969 graduate of Winfield High School in Winfield, West Virginia, where he played football and basketball and ran track.
In their first year of existence, 1977, they were managed by Jim Lett.
