Originally introduced to Welk by Joe Feeney in 1959, Castle became a permanent member of the Welk Family, replacing the departing Big Tiny Little.
Ralna also stood at the bedside of fellow performer Jo Ann Castle after Castle suffered a drug overdose and stroke in 2005.
