The current baronet is Sir David Watkin Williams-Wynn, 11th Baronet (born 1940).
In 1925, after graduating from Woolwich, Williams-Wynn was commissioned into the Royal Regiment of Artillery; He served in the Royal Horse Artillery, was an Instructor at the Equitation School, Weedon, Adjutant of the 61st (Carnarvon and Denbigh Yeomanry) Medium Regiment of the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army), from 1936 to 1940, and was promoted Major in 1940, having been appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1937.

At the time of his death on 13 May 1988, Williams-Wynn was living at Llangedwyn Hall, Powys, in the border country near Oswestry, Shropshire.
His direct ancestors, the Williams family, were an important parliamentary and landowning family from Denbighshire, north Wales, who in the 17th Century married into the famous Wynn family of Gwydir, the direct patrilineal descendants of Owain Gwynedd, Prince of Gwynedd 1137–1170, and the only surviving branch of that dynasty.
He engaged in negotiations with Stuart agents in 1740, 1742, and 1743, and went to consult with Louis XV at Versailles.
In 1949, at the age of eighty-seven, he inherited the Williams-Wynn Baronetcy and estates from a cousin, Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn, 8th Baronet (1891–1949).
