Falls Curfew

It was later reported that while the lower Falls was under curfew and the streets emptied of people, the Army had driven two Unionist ministers, John Brooke and William Long, through the area in armoured vehicles.

John Brooke

He was co-author with Namier of a biography of Charles Townshend, and author of The Chatham Administration, a study of politics in the early years of George III's reign.

He studied history at the University of Manchester under Lewis Namier:, and in 1951 became Namier's principal assistant for the History of Parliament.
