Albert Henry Loeb

In 1895, Sears Roebuck and Co. became a client of Loeb & Adler when Aaron Nusbaum and Richard Warren Sears retained the firm to draft reorganization documents whereby Nusbaum and Julius Rosenwald became owners of Sears.

Frank L. Smith

Smith went on to win the general election held in November of that year, although Julius Rosenwald offered him $550,000 of Sears, Roebuck & Company stock to withdraw.

Free Hill, Tennessee

The settlement's Rosenwald school was one of 354 schools for African Americans built in the early 20th century with financial support from the Julius Rosenwald Fund.
