Putnam began his career in 1984 as a photographer for KIFI television in Idaho Falls.
In 1984, Brady returned to Idaho to manage his family's media companies, first as general manager of KIFI-TV in Idaho Falls, then as publisher of the Post Register, Idaho Falls' daily newspaper which he owns.
In 2013 he signed an artist deal with producer RedOne to develop his own album, KiFi, for release in 2014.
KOAT is also one of six ABC affiliates and one of three Hearst-owned ABC stations to have an hour-long 10 p.m. newscast, along with KITV in Honolulu and WISN in Milwaukee; as well as KRGV in Weslaco, Texas, KSTP in Saint Paul, Minnesota, KIFI in Idaho Falls, Idaho and WEAR in Pensacola, Florida.
That arrangement makes the two stations sister to ABC affiliate KIFI-TV and all three share studios on North Yellowstone Highway/U.S. 26 in Idaho Falls.
Riesen was for many years a versatile broadcaster, at stations including KIFI in Idaho Falls, Idaho and KALL and KSL in Salt Lake City, Utah.
