Kanatak

Kanatak Lake (or Kanata Lakes), a neighbourhood officially referred to as Marchwood-Lakeside within the northern section of Kanata, Ontario, Canada.

Ottawa Rebel

They initially played at the Corel Centre (now called the Canadian Tire Centre) in nearby Kanata, but part-way through the 2002 season moved to the smaller, but centrally located, Ottawa Civic Centre.

QNX

Both were convinced there was a commercial need for such a system, and moved to the high-tech planned community Kanata, Ontario, to start Quantum Software Systems that year.


Ashley Gilbank

Celebrity guests included Do It For Daron founder Luke Richardson and Ottawa City Councillor Alan Hubley (representing the district of Kanata South).

Carling Avenue

It begins north of Kanata and runs east until the Ottawa River where it bends south to go around Crystal Bay and Britannia Bay.

Although the mini-album didn't release any singles, the intro track "Haruka Kanata" enjoyed immense domestic and international popularity after it came to be used as the second opening theme for the anime series Naruto.

The story takes time shortly after Omoide ni Kanata Kimi: Memories Off ended, where Cubic Cafe's manager dies in an accident while on a date with Kanata.

OC Transpo Route 95

Route 99, previously running from Blair Station to Bayshore Station (and rush hour trips to Kanata North Business Park) for over 25 years, was renumbered to route 101 and extended to Orléans to allow residents to travel to the west end of the city (such as Bayshore Station) without traveling through downtown.

Ontario Highway 416

The freeway ends at a large interchange with the Trans-Canada Highway, Highway 417 (Exit 131), near the shore of Britannia Bay on the Ottawa River; downtown Ottawa is to the east and Kanata is to the west.

William Erskine Johnston

W. Erskine Johnston Public School, which opened in 1969 in the Ottawa suburb of Kanata, was named after Johnston in recognition of his long public service.
