Simon has recorded several CDs for the Naxos label, and is slated to record the complete songs of Pfitzner and Korngold.

He is especially interested in twentieth century music, and, as accompanist, he initiated and let a series of lieder recitals, featuring music by such composers as Schoenberg, Pfitzner, Korngold, Rihm, Hindemith, Bridge, Holst, Rebecca Clarke, Crumb and Argento.
She created the roles of Blanchefleur in Kienzl's opera Der Kuhreigen (1911), Ariadne in Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos (1912), the Empress in his Die Frau ohne Schatten (1919), and Marie/Marietta in Korngold's Die tote Stadt (1920), which was also the role in which she debuted at the Metropolitan Opera on November 19, 1921.
In Paris Korngold met a Hungarian woman named Piri Helen Ozer, whom he married in 1936 following the finalization of his divorce.
His research in LA led to the first live performance of Korngold's film score The Sea Hawk.
For Decca/London 'Phase 4' he recorded a selection of solo-violin-and-orchestra arrangements made by himself (short pieces by Tchaikovsky, Massenet, Korngold, etc.) under the pseudonym Josef Sakonov in which he also conducted the London Festival Orchestra with his violin bow (London 444 786-2).
