A Kunsthalle is often operated by a non-profit Kunstverein ("Art Association") and a Kunsthaus ("Art House") refers more to a gallery or museum with associated artists, symposia, studios and workshops.

2007–2008 - As a fellow of the Robert Bosch Foundation in the "Culture Manager from Central and Eastern Europe" in Demetja worked as a guest curator at the Lothringer 13 - Städtische Kunsthalle München.
Between 1973 and 1974 Kunsthalle of Darmstadt exhibited a huge antological exposition that, with some small variation, was also showed in 1974 at Venice's Palazzo Grassi and Milan's Royal Palace.
In the 2000s Clemente showed at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, at the Museo MADRE in Naples, the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt, Uffizi Gallery in Florence and at Yale Museum of Art in 2013.
After working for some years as a conservator in Darmstadt, Adriani became the director of the newly founded Kunsthalle in Tübingen, the town of his last alma mater, in 1971.

Their international exhibitions include major works the city of Rome at the Aquario Romano, for the Kunsthalle in Basel, Switzerland, at the Museo D’Arte Contemporanea in Prato, Italy, as well the Trienalle in New Delhi, India.

He has also shown at Art Now at Tate Britain in April 2007, the Kunsthalle Basel, Switzerland in September 2006 and his work was shown at Tate Britain's "Classified" and the Arts Council Collection's How to Improve the World: 60 Years of British Art at the Hayward Gallery, London.
She has had solo exhibitions at Kunsthalle Basel and the Kunstverein Braunschweig in 2001, and at Villa Arson in Nice, France in 2004.
