The Église du Bon-Pasteur is located rue Neyret on the slopes of La Croix-Rousse, near the montée de la Grande Côte, in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon.
The quarter is called La Croix-Rousse (The russet cross) because of the cross the Christians put there in the 16th century: made in stone from Couzon-au-Mont-d'Or, it was reddish-brown.

Alexander Kirilow Drenowski (22 July 1879, Ruse -24 April 1967, Sofia) was a Bulgarian entomologist who specialised in Lepidoptera.
He moved to the South of France after he retired, living at La Croix-Valmer near Saint-Tropez, where he enjoyed boating and painting.
