2 unusual facts about La Piedad


Juan Rafael Méndez

For the Apertura 2009, when Salamanca was dissolved and relocated to La Piedad, Méndez left as well.

Primera División de México Invierno 2001

La Piedad was promoted to the Primera División de México, allowing 19 teams to take part in the Mexican First Division as opposed to 18 teams that formed the previous tournaments.


Esteban María Laxague

He was ordained Priest on May 10, 1982 after which he stayed in Neuquén and Bahía Blanca becoming Director of School "La Piedad", belonging to the Order of the Salesians until 1990 when he was appointed Director of Colegio Don Bosco in the same city of Bahía Blanca.

Mexican Federal Highway 90

The road connects the following cities from east to west: Irapuato, Abasolo, Penjamo, La Piedad, Degollado, Ocotlán and finally Zapotlanejo in Jalisco.

Yurécuaro

It limits to the north with the state of Jalisco separated by the Lerma river, at west with La Piedad, at south with Ecuandureo and to the southeast with Tanhuato.
